How do I charge the entry fee and promote the tournament?
The fee and the payment contact are two free-text fields in Step 1 — and they flow on their own into every invite and the flyer. The app doesn't process payments, doesn't issue receipts and doesn't track who paid: the money goes straight from the players to you.
In 30 seconds
- You write it once — “$20 per pair”, “Zelle on WhatsApp” — and the information comes out the same in every invite and on the flyer.
- To promote, the app gives you two weapons: the flyer (ready-made image) and the tournament link (opens in any browser).
- The actual collecting happens outside the app — through your Zelle, your Pix, or hand to hand at the court.
Step by step
-
1
Home › Create new tournament › Step 1
Two fields, both optional: Entry fee (“E.g., $20 per pair”) and Payment / contact (“E.g., Zelle, PIX, or WhatsApp”). It's free text — write it your way: amount per person or per pair, a Pix key, a phone number, “pay at the court”.

Where it shows up
In each player's invite, between the date and the pair, two lines go out: 💰 with the fee and 📲 with the payment contact. On the flyer, the same data becomes two badges on the artwork and also goes into the text caption that travels with the image. You never repeat the payment info in any message.

Promote with the flyer
Step 5 › PROMOTE TOURNAMENT — Share flyer with date and location. The app generates a high-resolution image with the name, date, venue, tournament size, win rule, fee and contact. It goes straight to your story or to the group.
-
4
Promote with the link
Tournament › share icon (top right corner). It generates a link anyone can open in the browser, with nothing to install and no account — the ranking and scores update whenever you save a result (how the link works).
-
5
Changed the price?
Tournament › Settings tab › Edit details, section Registration (optional). The change applies to the invites and flyers generated from then on — a message that already left your phone doesn't change on its own.
What goes wrong here
- The app doesn't track who paid. There's no payer list and no receipt — checking the money is on you, outside the app.
- A blank field isn't an error: the fee line simply doesn't show in the invite or on the flyer. If the invite went out without the amount, fill it in under Settings › Edit details and send it again.
- A player without a phone number gets no invite — they show up in a separate card with the notice “Add a phone number under Settings › Players”. The fee only reaches the people the app can notify.
Why it works this way
The app treats charging as information, not as a transaction. Free text works with any method — Pix, Zelle, cash in the backpack — and in any country, without tying you to a card reader. The app's job is a different one: making sure the amount and the contact arrive the same in every invite and every flyer, without you typing them again for each player.
