What the app doesn't do yet.

Short answer

There are nine limits, and we'd rather you read them before installing: no cross-tournament ranking, no knockouts, fixed sizes, one court, no player self-registration, no billing, no automatic notifications, iPhone only and no photos. Each one has a possible workaround today — it's all right below.

In 30 seconds

  • The three that surprise people most: one court per tournament, Americano only with 4, 8 or 12 players, and no message ever leaves the app on its own.
  • Almost everything has a workaround — including 16 people, who don't fit in Americano but do run as Fixed Pairs with 8 teams.
  • This is the same list as the home page, published on purpose: better to know now than to find out in your first half hour of use.

The nine limits — and the workaround for each

    There is no cross-tournament ranking

    The ranking belongs to the tournament and ends with it. There's no player profile, no season ranking, no “your progress this year”. Nothing carries over from one tournament to the next. Yet.

    Workaround today: the History tab keeps every tournament whole — podium, final standings and every score — and it can be reopened and reshared months later; anyone who wants a season total adds it up by hand from there.

    There are no draws or knockout brackets

    Round-robin and Americano only. No group stage, no semifinal, no bracket.

    Workaround today: let the round-robin be the decider — the final ranking is the “final”, and the app even tells you when the champion is already mathematically decided and offers to finish early.

    The sizes are fixed

    Fixed Pairs: 5, 6, 7 or 8 teams. Americano: 4, 8 or 12 players. A 16-person Americano doesn't run today — the rotation tables are calculated and checked one by one, and the ones for 6, 10 and 16 haven't been built yet.

    Workaround today: 16 people run as Fixed Pairs with 8 teams; for other group sizes, adjust the list to the nearest valid size (how many players do I need?).

    One court per tournament

    There is no round on parallel courts. In Step 2, 1 court shows with a padlock.

    Workaround today: with two free courts, create two tournaments and split the group — each with its own matches, its own ranking and its own link.

    Players can't sign themselves up

    The organizer builds the list. The invite informs; there's no accept button, no waitlist, no check-in.

    Workaround today: collect confirmations in the group chat and build Step 3 with whoever's in — from your second tournament on, the saved player book makes that quick.

    The app doesn't charge anyone

    Fee and payment method are free text that appears in the invite and on the flyer. You do the charging, your way.

    Workaround today: write the fee and the payment key into the Step 1 fields — they go out automatically in every invite and on the flyer (how to charge and promote).

  7. 7

    It doesn't notify anyone on its own

    There are no notifications. Every message leaves from your WhatsApp, the moment you tap.

    Workaround today: Step 5 builds every message ready to go, and the NOTIFY ALL REMAINING button queues the sends — you just confirm them one by one (how do I notify the players?).

    iPhone only

    There's no Android and no desktop dashboard. The web part is the tournament's public page — which any device opens, including Android, but only to watch.

    Workaround today: only the organizer needs the iPhone; everyone else in the group follows along through the tournament link, in any browser, without installing anything.

  9. 9

    No photo uploads

    None. It's on the roadmap and it's not ready — if you go looking for a camera button in the app, you won't find one.

    Workaround today: send the photos in the group chat along with the results link — the link takes care of the score and the podium, the group takes care of the photos.

What goes wrong here

  • In Step 2, Courts shows “1 court” with a padlock — it's not a defect, it's the one-court-per-tournament limit.
  • Looking for 16 players in Americano? Step 2 only offers 4, 8 and 12. With 16 people, the way to go is Fixed Pairs with 8 teams.
  • The invite has no accept button — it informs, it doesn't register. The list is yours, in Step 3.
  • There's no camera button on any screen — not in the app, not on the tournament's public page.

Why it works this way

Every limit is a choice, not an oversight: the app would rather do fewer things with a guarantee than many things halfway. The Americano rotation tables, for instance, are calculated and checked one by one — that's why only 4, 8 and 12 exist, and why the rotation never comes out unfair. The list is published on the home page on purpose: if any of these items is a dealbreaker for you, better to know before installing. When a limit falls, it's because the new version does that thing with the same guarantee as everything else.
